Ahmed M. Saad
Ahmed M. Saad is an honor graduate of Al-Azhar University, an official Imam in Egypt. In his activities, Ahmed Saad has been a visiting Imam in Canada, Germany, Malaysia, USA and the UK. Ahmed has presented to thousands of Muslims and non-Muslims on many issues including, “Inter-Faith Dialog”, “Islam in Brief’, “Islam Unity in Diversity”, “Muslims in the West”. Being the guest speaker of many TV and Radio programs, Ahmed appeared at Muslim Community Radio in London, Miracle TV and CBC News in Canada and was cited by Calgary Herald, New York Times, Thüringen Allgemeine and many other newspapers.
Ahmed has attended many local and international conferences and summer institutes and has been quite active in that field.
Currently writing an MA thesis on “Sunni-Shi`a Dialog and the Ethics of Difference” at Al-Azhar University, Cairo. Post Graduate Studies from the Department of Islamic Studies in English at Al-Azhar University.
BA with honors from the Department of Islamic Studies in English at Al-Azhar University. Ranked first in his class. Ahmed has studied ‘Religious Pluralism and Public Life’ at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Ahmed has finished the memorization of the Holy Qur’an at age of 10, the hands of his late father who was a scholar and studied traditional Islamic sciences like hadith, Tafseer, Fiqh and Tajweed under his father’s supervision until he joined Al-Azhar institutes at the age of 12. He has finished 15 years of traditional Islamic education.
He ranked 10 all over the country in his Secondary Education Certificate.
Being an official Imam, Ahmed is a member of Imam’s Association at the Ministry of Awqaf (Religious Endowments), Egypt.
Ahmed is a member of the American Academy of Religion, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Ahmed has done many research papers tackling themes like “Ethics of Difference”, “Muslim Minority Law”, “Divorce Rates in North American Muslim Community” and “Religion and its Role in the USA”
